Beginners Ages 4 - 9

Small Sided Football of is about learning, self experiencing, having a lot of touches on the ball and above all, children having fun every time they step on the pitch. The emphasis of SSF is on participation and enjoyment and an associated removal of the current emphasis on the importance of winning. Children are much more likely to enjoy their football playing experience, will be keen to play more often and are less likely to drop out of the game.

Football Federation Australia successfully implemented it's new  junior platform (Optus Small Sided Football) for 6-11 year boys and girls rolled out in 2008 with 9-10 age group joining the compulsory junior structure in 2009 and U11's completing the process in 2010. The main difference being U9 & U11 play in a club vs. club ( Home & Away ) fixture and U7 intra-club removing the competitive environment for the latter age groups. This allows us to keep beginners ages 4-9 active and developing their football skills annually instead of  a few months of the year. Advanced players have the option to register in our Academy and Summer Academy League Program. Please don't hesitate to call Oliver Schulze on 0418443366 for further information. The Club and Academy policy is to deliver a professional and non competitive introduction to football for 4-9 year old children. 4 & 5 year old children are included in this program and all players are cared for by trained professionals who delivered football to over 40 primary schools around Melbourne in 2008/2009. Program runs all year during school term. Boys & girls play in their relevant age group and if dominating, will move up an age group or down if struggling. A minimum of 4 coaches attend each session and term finishes with a medal and achievement certificate presentation. Players that develop quickly and are confident have the option to try the team competition with the Club during Winter and the Academy during Summer. Each session focuses on components below and enjoyment for all:

Skill Development Drills - Fun Orientated Drills - Match Play - Social Development in Sport - Physical Development & Education
